Nintendo Wii U Download Games
Hello! Zuma deluxe pc game.
Wii U Controller
So a few weeks ago I picked up a brand new Nintendo Wii U. I bought it specifically to play Zelda games - I bought physical copies of Windwalker HD,Breath of the Wilde and Twilight Princess, I also downloaded Majoras Mask via the Virtual Console. Obviously these are very lengthy and time consuming games, it would be a MASSIVE waste of time if anything happened to my save files, that's why I started thinking about the option of backing them up in some way. So I read a decent amount of material about this topic online and I feel like I still have absolutely no idea how it works, which is a massive letdown that this kind of console and a brand name would absolutely mess up such a crucial thing, no online cloud also - shame on you Nintendo!
Wii U
So, long story short - I want to back up all of my Zelda game progress once in a while so I would at least have some kind of return points if something happened. I know that you can only use the backed up stuff with your console and no other and that the backup wont work after a factory reset. What I want to know is what is the full process of simply buying a SD card or a USB stick and backing up my saved games WITHOUT losing them on the console. I also read that when you copy saved games to an external storage device you have to copy all the game files with them. So for example: If I have Majoras Mask downloaded and I want to back it up It would mean I would have to move the whole game to the external device? Would this remove the game from the console and make it not playable without the external device? What about Breath of the Wilde? I have it on a disc, but It has 4 GB worth of patches on the console, does it mean I have to move all the 4gb in order to back up my saved games or it would move only the save game files? In other words - how does the backup of save files work with games that I own on a disc?? How do I use the backed up save files If I for example deleted a game and now wish to play it again with my backed up save files? I simply transfer them from my external storage back to the console and thats it? What are the best ways to store save files - SD card, USB Stick, anything else?
